What began in 2011 as a school and community farm project has blossomed into PEAS, serving over 34,000 students, 241,000 engaged hours of lessons and $4.7M invested within Austin. 

We partner with schools to deliver direct programming, during the school day, to over 3,000 students every school year. Our dedicated Outdoor and Edible Education Specialists partner with teachers to lead engaging lessons in school gardens, outdoor classrooms, and pop-up kitchens to bring academic and social-emotional learning to life.

Our community of supporters makes this milestone possible, including educators, volunteers, donors and sponsors. Community Market

A curated mix of well-known local vendor booths and unique small businesses aligned with wellness and sustainability values including an education area featuring interactive, hands-on crafts, cooking demos and nature activities to engage families and connect the community with PEAS’ work.

Benefit Concert

Since Austin is known for live music, we’re partnering with a local nonprofit group to put on a family-friendly concert with all ticket sales benefiting PEAS. Support helps with marketing costs, audience swag bags and complimentary tickets to families experiencing economic hardship.

Homegrown in Austin: Online Auction

Our online auction will give all of our supporters, including those not currently in Austin, a chance to celebrate and support our work. Just as PEAS is rooted in Austin, the auction will feature a range of prizes donated by local, homegrown partners, artists and services.

Our celebration events are expected to draw 1,200+ attendees from across the Austin community, including PEAS families, school partners, local businesses, and purpose-driven advocates. Your sponsorship will support the operations of all three events with profits going directly to PEAS school programs, funding hands-on garden and kitchen education programs in Austin-area elementary schools!
